Clay sculptures are hand built, air dried and bisque fired in an electric kiln. Bisque firing in a kiln prepares the clay for glazing. Once the piece is bisque fired, glaze  will be applied and then kiln fired a final time. The firing process in a kiln helps to harden and set the clay making it durable and suitable for various processes.
